Powerful Assist for Urban Rail Transit AFC System: SIGM-2660/2661
Smart City Rail Transit
Travel is an important part of people’s lives, and with the continuous expansion of subway networks, the subway has gradually become the preferred mode of transportation. The traditional manual ticketing and inspection methods can no longer meet the massive and efficient travel demands of the public. Therefore, the application of an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) System in urban rail transit is of great significance.
Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) System
The AFC System has realized the entire process of online ticket sales, ticket checking, billing, charging, statistics, clearing, and management, and provides functions such as automatic ticket purchase, automatic ticket checking, automatic recharge, and automatic query. To achieve such complex functions, it relies on the coordination and control of its own control system, which must be supported by intelligent control hardware.
Based on the continuous innovation and iteration of the AFC System, it is particularly necessary to design a new AFC dedicated controller that meets the requirements of innovation and environmental requirements. To this end, JHCTECH has developed the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) System controller SIGM-2660/2661 for the rail transit industry based on the Intel® Elkhart Lake Soc J6412 CPU to help the construction of smart city rail transit.
The AFC System can be divided into five layers from top to bottom: clearing center, line computer system, station computer system, station terminal equipment, and tickets. The dedicated controller for transportation AFC System is mainly for the fourth layer of station terminal equipment. The main supporting equipment is as follows:
JHCTECH has comprehensively analyzed the space volume, interface requirements, wiring, and stable anti-interference needs of AFC system station terminal equipment. The SIGM-2660/2661 was developed and designed with a focus on an integrated rugged design, multiple I/O interfaces, convenient wiring, strong system stability, and a compact size.
Design Highlights Display
Intel X86 platform with excellent openness
I/O design suitable for AFC scenarios
The IO function is designed in accordance with the scenario requirements of the AFC System. It has 2*VGA+1*VGA(1*LVDS) three independent + one copy display, 12 serial ports (10 RS232 + 2 RS232/422/485)/14 serial ports (12 RS232 + 2 RS232/422/485), 2*G-LAN (WOL), 6*USB (USB wake-up), and SIGM-2661 also adds 1*LPT, 1*PS2, and 1*PS-ON. The following takes three important station terminal devices (TVM, BOM, AGM) as an example:
